2014’s most extravagant Christmas windows
One of the most magical parts of Christmas, especially for children, is the window displays dreamt up by the world’s biggest departments stores. From Harrods to Harvey Nichols, every year the displays seem to get more creative and impressive, with each store competing to outdo one another. The results are on show for all to enjoy.
For 2014, Harrods took inspiration from its first animated film, calling their display ‘The Land of Make Believe’ – a fantasy winter tale where magical mice arrive at Harrods to help Father Christmas transform the store ready for the festive season.
Also inspired by children’s stories, Selfridges opted for fairytales scenes, reimagining favourites such as The Ugly Duckling, Cinderella and the Golden Goose for its windows. Guests can also enjoy a ride on the special Tiffany & Co horse and carriage!
Also inspired by a forest theme, Harvey Nichols‘ ‘The Enchanted Forest’ featured mannequins dressed in some of the store’s most exclusive brands, including Alexander McQueen.
