Design Trends April 2019: Instagram worthy Interiors

With the world of Instagram, retailers are upping their game when it comes to inviting spaces. Eye-appealing, Instagram worthy interiors grab our attention and make us want to hop on a plane to experience them in person, especially when chocolate and ice cream are involved.

Easter always seems to be a time of indulgence. There is nothing more indulgent than a combination of ice cream, chocolate and eye popping interiors.

Milk Train 2

The ice cream store Milk Train in London has created a space with Instagram in mind. Milk Train was designed by Shoreditch-based design studio FormRoom to “cater primarily to [the brand’s] diverse Instagram demographic” according to dezeen.

A luxury chocolatier, Compartes, has a location in Los Angeles with a painted copper exterior and marble floors. According to Wallpaper, ‘It is designed by hospitality specialist Kelly Wearstler, known for her glamorous mid-century modern hotel interiors…’.

Parlor Cafe, Prague

This ice cream parlour by day, bar by night in Prague was “Inspired by the ice cream culture of San Francisco.” according to Travel Away. It’s fresh greenery and vintage neon sign make it very appealing to the eye.

Piccolina Gelateria, Melbourne

A Melbourne Gelataria, Piccolina has decor reminicent of Southern Italy. The retro feel and cool and muted tones make it very appealing for those looking to get a perfect Instagram shot.

Soft Touch, Medellin

The combination of soft hues and neon lights creates an inviting space reminiscent of ice cream itself. According to Travel Away this was “A project by design studio Plasma Nodo, this Soft Touch outlet in Medellin is deliciously decorated in hues and graphics that evoke their beloved ice cream flavors.”

Sweet Salvation, Dubai

The architecture firm Navigate Design envisioned this space for the Canadian brand Sweet Salvation. The pop of colour agains the black and white graphics create a design space that is not only appealing but hard to resist taking a photo of.
