Five favourite products of the month: June 2015

We are inspired by winter whites this month so we have selected some of our favourite elegant and minimalist products on the market at the moment. These white beauties are functional whilst being equally well-designed.

Add a sense of occasion to meal times with this 24 piece cutlery set from The Cool Hunter. The sets features white resin handles and a matt gold finish. Made in Portugal, each set retails for US$590.

For those of us who spend much of the day (and night) at the desk, it’s important that the space is well organised and reflects our style. We recently discovered BASE – two designers living in San Francisco who create industrial homewares and accessories inspired by modernism. Their polystone desk tray set is US$36 and will help tidy that desk in no time.

Designers Guild has launched its latest collection: a stunning range of floral digital prints under the name ‘Orangerie’. Each design in the Orangerie range are inspired by original Designers Guild fabrics but reinvented with new colour palettes and scaled down sizings of the designs. Printed on 100% cotton satin. The Madame Butterfly II design features elegant calligraphic branches, magnolia flowers and intricately detailed butterflies and birds.

Melbourne’s Pop and Scott are famous for their colourful and patterned pots but we think their all-white ones are just as good. Made from fibreglass and plaster, the pots start at $100 for the small size and can be used inside and outdoors.

On trend are these coasters from Marble Basics – a design company founded by Melbourne sisters Bliss and Bonnie Adams. Made from 100% marble, the coasters come in a set of six and can be used in the bathroom, on the bedside table, coffee table and of course dining table. $100 per set.
