Gisele Bündchen & Tom Brady’s luxurious LA home
They are one of the world’s most famous couples, known not only for their successful careers, but also their glamorous lifestyle.
But the New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and supermodel Gisele Bündchen’s home may surprise you with its style.
The high profile partners live in a warm, welcoming and eco-conscious home which contrasts with their fast-lane lifestyle.
The couple say they wanted a home that would act as a sanctuary for their large extended family: somewhere to put their feet up and relax.
Bündchen and Brady found a vacant open lot with view of the Pacific Ocean near the house they were renting in L.A. Wanting to test their creative skills, they engaged architect Richard Landry and interior designer Joan Behnke to help them build their dream home from scratch.
As well as a comfortable, warm home, it was important to the pair that they built responsibly. The model is a global ambassador for the United Nations Environment Program, and both are passionate about conservation and recycling.
This brought their home to use as many recycling components as they could, along with eco-friendly energy and water systems, composting and solar panels.
But that doesn’t mean Brady and Bündchen’s home is any less grand. For outside, the home is reminiscent of an old-world French château, complete with a moat. Inside the 14,000 square-feet, the colour scheme harps back to the natural timbers and materials used, with a palette of soft neutrals.
Then there’s the garden with a microfarm complete orchids and a chicken coop, which the pair use to teach their children the importance of knowing where their food comes from. Finally, there’s the pool, which is designed to look like a natural lake, offering vistas of the Pacific far into the distance.
