Our favourite looks from DIFFA Dining by Design 2015
Each year, designers from around the world unite through their work in the name of a good cause.
Coordinated by the ‘Design Industries Foundation Fights AIDS‘, the annual Dining by Design event brings together celebrated designers to raise awareness of and funds for fighting AIDS.
Brands like Smartwater, The New York Times and even Ottawa, Canada sponsor tables, whilst designers from the likes of Hermès and Ralph Lauren through to the lesser known but equally talented Marks and Frantz and Corey Damen Jenkins set about bringing their concepts to life. The result is three dimensional dining installations that inspire, surprise and delight. The event included a gala dinner, a cocktail function and a public viewing.
Now in its 18th year, the five-day Dining by Design was held in March in collaboration with the Architectural Digest Home Show. Hosted at New York’s Pier 92, the dining spaces ranged from whimsical to modernistic, lavish to minimalistic and everything in between over a space of 30,000 square feet. As DIFFA’s signature event of the year, Dining by Design then tours the country.
