Gwyneth Paltrow has finally opened the doors to her luxurious guesthouse in Montecito for a special one-night stay on September 9th thanks to a unique collaboration with Airbnb. This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to experience what it's like to live like a celebrity in one of California's sought-after neighborhoods.
The lucky guest/s will also be personally greeted by actress and lifestyle entrepreneur, Gwyneth Paltrow; it's a chance to meet the woman behind the Goop empire and experience her hospitality firsthand. But the experience doesn't stop at a warm welcome. The listing also includes activities such as a guided transcendental meditation, a Goop Kitchen–inspired meal, and a spa treatment featuring the host’s favorite Goop beauty essentials. On top of that, they also get to take home valuable techniques together with a bunch of Goop products. It all sounds like a dream, doesn’t it?
And while most of us aren’t as fortunate as the guest/s staying overnight, we can still experience the virtual tour of her guesthouse in Montecito on her Instagram account.
This charmingly compact yet luxurious one-bedroom, one-bathroom house was designed by Robin Standefer and Stephen Alesch of Roman and Williams (a renowned architecture and design studio in New York City). Brigette Romanek, the acclaimed interior designer, played an important role in crafting the contemporary interpretation of the rustic yet sophisticated decor. Standefer, Alesch, and Romanek, the brilliant minds behind the design and construction of Paltrow's primary residence, have seamlessly infused their signature style and artistic sensibilities into this exquisite house.
Step inside, and you'll find yourself greeted with vaulted ceilings, mostly all-white color palette, accented with bright yellow hues, teak furniture, and elegant brass hardware. There’s a plush couch positioned in front of a wood-burning fireplace, a stocked kitchen next to the living room, and a spa-like bathroom adorned in marble with sleek gold fixtures. The overall aesthetic exudes contemporary Southern California luxury, offering a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.
Outside, surrounded by greenery and flooded with the golden Montecito sun, you will find a pergola-topped patio with another fireplace, an al fresco dining area furnished with a long dining table, and an inviting turquoise pool with plenty of daybeds to lounge on. Taking all these in, it’s easy to understand why Paltrow claims her Montecito home as her sanctuary for respite and mental clarity.
