The world's most impressive hotels

May 22, 2022

Another year has come and gone but with it came some remarkable new additions to the hotel world, along with updates to some of the best existing places to stay. From India to Namibia, and a host of places in between, we explore the most impressive hotels available for a luxurious stay today.

1. ITC Grand Bharat, India

With intricate domes and wall carvings, this 104-suite resort is a proud expression of India's traditional architecture. Guests can enjoy yoga classes, Ayurvedic spa treatments and massages - all just 30 minutes from bustling Delhi.

2. The Katamama Hotel, Bali

In this 58-suite hotel, every aspect has been personally designed and crafted by Indonesian craftsmen to "preserve the art and way of doing things unique in Indonesia". The result is a sense of understated luxury through the use of natural tones and materials.

Inside the pavilions are the latest creature comforts, including free-standing bathtubs, 'his' and 'hers' vanities and LED TVs - not that you'd need them with the beach just a moment's walk away.
